Wait a second…FNC has an SGA???
The answer is yes. We are in the process of establishing our first Student Government Association and will be running elections on January 28th and 29th.
Many of you wonder what benefits can the SGA bring to the student body and the answer is quite simple.
The SGA is our voice and representation before school officials.
The Student Government Association is an organization run by students under the supervision of selected faculty and staff. At Florida National College, the SGA will work side by side with the office of Student Services from all campuses.
Member of the SGA seek to get all students involved in school activities and other affairs. These officers will gather and disseminate information to and from the student body and the college administration, faculty, staff and other organizations.
Being part of the SGA means representing your fellow classmates. It means making a difference in your school and the community. The SGA is a great opportunity for networking, improving public relations and negotiation skills and let’s not forget how impressive it looks on your resume.
My advice is to read the different available positions and evaluate whether you qualify. Take advantage of this great opportunity and make a difference in our community.
